Personalized guitar lessons

Our guitar teachers work with each guitar student's individual interests, including the songs you want to learn, theory to grow your musical knowledge and exercises to build your technique.  Depending on age, and hand size, it may be recommended younger students begin on a ukulele due to hand size.  Depending on hand size, we may recommend having students begin on piano, to build fine motor skills and a rock solid musical foundation.  Our teachers adjust our curriculum to accommodate the individual goals and musical interests of each individual student.

​Aaron Hench Bass, Guitar, Piano, Ukulele and Voice
A multi-instrument instructor, Aaron holds a BA in Music Education from the Boyer College of Music of Temple University, with concentration in voice.  Aaron can be found playing bass in a rock band of singing bass in a choir.  He is currently teaching High School music in NE Philadelphia.

Ben Rogers-Petro - Guitar, Piano and Strings  With no doubts that music is his passion, Ben is a Music Theory Major with Piano Concentration at Temple University.  Ben began taking piano lessons with his brother when he was six, and now studies the instrument with Mikhail Yanovitsky, while his brother pursues a rap career.  Ben's primary instrument is piano, but he is well versed in violin, guitar and strings.  Ben can be heard at local churches, playing live at events and also frequents as a wedding musician. Ben is enthusiastic about music and is excited to share his deep love for music with students, while having fun along the way.

Chris Schutz- Bass, Guitar, Piano & Voice Learn from an incredible performer! Chris has been teaching music lessons for close to twenty years since moving from his hometown of Kansas City to the East Coast.  In addition to his passion for teaching bass, guitar and ukulele, Chris continues to tour, record and perform with a number of ensembles both in Philadelphia and across the United States.  He holds a degree in Music Composition from the Community College of Philadelphia in addition to studying Music Theory at the Boyer School at Temple University.

Ashwin Suseendran- Guitar & Piano  Passionate about all things music and Philadelphia, Ashwin pursues his Bachelor's in Music Education and Jazz Studies at Temple University, with a minor in Geography and Urban Studies.  He works to inspire youth of the greater Philadelphia area to love learning music.  Trained in classical jazz, and contemporary piano for 15 years, Ashwin has given piano performances at venues ranging from the French Consulate in New York City to Arcadia University Presidential Inauguration.  Ashwin strives to make music relatable to his students based on their unique areas of interest.  in fact it was through learning arrangements of Nintendo video game theme music that he first started to love making music.  Ashwin serves as a music teacher at Isaac Shepherd Elementary school as part of the Philly Pops Project, and is excited to bring his love of music to the students of Mobile Music.
